Do-it-yourself hare from a plastic bottle - photo, video, how to make it. Making animals from plastic bottles is simple and fun. Step-by-step instructions and examples Useful video: Cool decorations for the cottage and garden from bottles

It often happens that while traveling out of town or on vacation, you are in a hurry and forget to take toys for your child. You can easily get out of this situation with the help of improvised means, for example, a sock and thread with a needle. The result is a wonderful soft toy - a sock bunny.

And if you take a beautiful sock and decorate the toy upon completion, you can get an excellent souvenir that you won’t be ashamed to give to your friends.

To make a sock bunny, you will need the following materials:

  1. Children's plain sock without patterns;
  2. Dense, stiff fabric of a contrasting color (you can use felt);
  3. Hard threads or elastic bands;
  4. Small pompom;
  5. Beady eyes;
  6. Scissors;
  7. Fabric glue;
  8. Elegant thin ribbons;
  9. Printing material.

As a material for stuffing, you can use cotton wool or cereals - rice or buckwheat. It is better not to take synthetic winterizer, as the toy will be too light and will not stand.

Operating procedure

  • Place the sock in front of you and fill it with stuffing. You will need about a glass of cereal or a couple of balls of cotton wool the size of a child's fist.
  • Measure the distance from the toe of the sock to the place where the neck will be. Tie tightly with an elastic band or thread.
  • Measure a slightly smaller distance for the head. The top needs to be bandaged even more tightly than the neck so that the padding material does not spill out.
  • Cut the remaining free edge of the sock in half lengthwise from the bandage line to the end. Cut out 2 ears and give them a standing or lying shape. You can sew a seam along the edge of the ears to prevent the fabric from unraveling.

Now you can start decorating the “Sock Bunny” toy:

  • From thick fabric, cut out a small semi-oval or oval piece to represent the tummy. Glue it to the place where the hare's belly is supposed to be.
  • You can make eyes from beads by sewing or gluing them.
  • Also, using parts cut out of thick fabric, form and glue the nose and teeth.
  • Attach a pom-pom tail at the bottom of the backrest.

Ready! You can decorate the bunny with an elegant ribbon. If you tie a bow around your neck, you get a gentleman boy, and if you add a bow between your ears, you get a beautiful girl.

This is the easiest way to make a sock bunny, but it is no less popular.

Tip: if you buy a pair of socks, you can make 2 baby bunny babies at once.

Hare family

In addition to the method described above, there are some other options for making toy hares. They are a little more complicated, but even more interesting.

  • Perky kid

You can also sew another bunny from one sock, which will also have legs and arms. To do this, you need to place your sock in an inverted state in front of you so that the heel is directly in front of you, bent down.

The uppermost part of the sock (the ripped cuff) will go to the front paws and tail, the part from the cuff, the heel and the part that it covers are the ears and head (the heel is just the nose part), below is the torso, and the piece for the fingers is the lower paws .

All parts need to be stitched along the edge, stuffed, sewn together and decorated.

  • Affectionate modest fellow

This option is created from two socks. This bunny is more suitable for playing than as a souvenir for a gift.

When you have several plastic bottles in your house, don’t rush and throw them in the trash. You can use them to make cute and interesting animals and birds. Such crafts will look great on the territory of a kindergarten, playground, or just in a summer cottage. In this article we will take a closer look at how animals are created from plastic bottles.

Let's start with preparation

To create animals with your own hands, you first need to prepare all the necessary materials and tools. Below is a selection of the most commonly used materials. However, in accordance with the chosen animal, items on this list may disappear or be added:

  1. Plastic bottles, possible volumes: 0.5 l, 1.5 l, 2 l, 5 l and 6 l;
  2. Scissors;
  3. Paint and varnish;
  4. Wire;
  5. Bandages;
  6. Putty;
  7. Glue;
  8. Decorative details: buttons, beads and so on.

It is possible to create any animal you like: a hare, a bear, a frog, a swan, and so on. Whatever animal you choose, the craft will turn out to be unusual and cute, and will also be perfect for the garden.

The methods for creating an animal's body are practically the same among different animals. And the methods for creating wings, ears and tails force you to demonstrate ingenuity; they can be done either from memory or from a textbook with descriptions of animals, depending on the complexity of the animal you have chosen.

We select the volume of bottles based on the desired size of the finished animal. For large products we take five and six liter bottles, and for small ones up to two liters.

Cute pig

In order to make a cute pig, you will need to prepare:

  1. Five liter plastic bottles;
  2. Acrylic paint;
  3. Scissors;
  4. Dish sponge;
  5. Marker.

First, we take the bottle and remove all unnecessary parts from it, such as rims and handles.

Now we mark with a marker and cut out an oblong hole almost from the bottom to the throat, and above it on the back side, we make another wider hole. From scraps we make ears and a tail for a piglet.

Now you need to paint our animal in any color you like. We paint in two or three layers, and when the paint dries, it is necessary to varnish the product. Such a pig can be very useful in the garden and can be used as a flower bed for growing flowers.

Making a hare

Making such a hare is very easy and quick. To work you will need:

  1. Five liter bottle;
  2. One and a half or two liter bottle;
  3. Marker;
  4. Scissors;
  5. Master Class.

First, draw bunny ears on a smaller bottle and cut them out along the intended contour. At the bottom of the ears you need to leave a small piece of plastic for future attachment to the animal’s head. Now we cut holes at the top of the large bottle, where the ears will be inserted later.

It's time to start painting. First, we take a large bottle and paint it like a bunny. The body is gray with a white belly, paws, black eyes, mouth and so on. Now we paint the ears separately. We make the outline white or gray, and paint the rest of it pink.

When all the pieces are dry, all that remains is to connect them. To prevent the bunny from being blown away by gusts of wind, we pour water into it or fill it with sand.

Create an elephant

To make a wonderful baby elephant, you will need the following materials and tools:

  1. Six liter bottles - two pieces;
  2. Two liter bottles - six pieces;
  3. Corrugated tube of small diameter, half a meter long;
  4. Thick wire 55 centimeters long;
  5. Sand;
  6. Glue;
  7. Scissors.

First, take four two-liter bottles and cut them in half crosswise. The underside will become the legs of the future baby elephant. Now we take a six-liter bottle and make ears out of it, after which we take a second six-liter bottle and make holes in it to fix the ears. After this, we take the wire and bend it, giving it the shape of an elephant’s trunk, and put a corrugated tube on top of it.

The time has come to paint all the blanks; you can use natural gray, or any other color you wish. When the paint dries, you can assemble the baby elephant.

We take the parts of the legs and fill them with sand, after which we glue them to the body of the animal. The trunk must be fixed to the neck of a six-liter bottle used as a body. Now we insert and fix the elephant ears in specially made holes. All that remains is to take the paints and draw the elephant’s eyes and mouth.

Now the cute and funny little elephant is finished.

Many people have probably noticed that some vegetables are shaped like one or another animal. Apparently, this observation was the reason that in the old days, when there were no “store-bought” toys, peasants delighted their children with potatoes, pumpkins or other vegetables. They were especially often created in late autumn, after the harvest.

And today some craftsmen, endowed with imagination, create real masterpieces from what grows in the beds of any garden. You can also try making it with cabbage. A hare made from this vegetable, if you try, will turn out funny and for several days will become a decoration for your country terrace or part of the decoration for a matinee in a kindergarten.

Which cabbage is suitable

For the Cabbage Hare craft to be successful, the vegetables must be fresh, not wilted and without wormholes, otherwise the “life” of your creation will be too short.

Although you can use any type of cabbage (cauliflower, broccoli, Peking cabbage, Brussels sprouts, etc.) to create animal figurines, white cabbage with tightly fitting leaves is more suitable for making bunny cabbage. Depending on the craft, you may also need two or more cabbage leaves, which are best removed from another head of cabbage.

What else will you need?

Regardless of the option, making the Cabbage Hare craft with your own hands is quite simple. In addition to the base vegetable, you will also need:

  • zucchini, preferably a very light shade,
  • carrots;
  • red bell pepper;
  • ribbon;
  • any flowers, such as asters or daisies;
  • toothpicks;
  • plasticine.

How to make a cabbage hare

The “life-size” craft is made in the following order:

  • cut two zucchini lengthwise;
  • Use toothpicks to connect two small heads of cabbage to form a head and body;
  • 2 of the resulting halves of the second zucchini are cut again, but this time across, to make bunny paws and ears from them;
  • a nose and eyes are sculpted from plasticine;
  • a bunny's mouth is cut out of red pepper;
  • all these parts are secured to the cabbage head;
  • fasten short pieces of zucchini with toothpicks where the upper legs and ears should be, and use long pieces as lower limbs;
  • a ribbon bow is tied around the bunny's neck;
  • make a mustache from toothpicks;
  • if desired, flowers are attached to the animal’s head to hide the junction with the “ears”;
  • Since the bunny cannot do without carrots, they secure it with a toothpick.

All! The bunny is ready and can be installed in a children's room or on the porch of a country house as a decoration.

For this craft you will need:

  • two heads of cabbage;
  • large, oblong-shaped potatoes;
  • 1 cherry tomato;
  • white onion;
  • red and black markers;
  • 2 packs of toothpicks;
  • sharp knife;
  • two pieces of black bread.

Master class on making crafts from vegetables in the form of Krosh

The “Cabbage Hare” craft, reminiscent of the cartoon character “Smeshariki”, is made in the following order:

  • the potato is cut lengthwise, and the cherry tomato is cut across;
  • connect the resulting halves to the head of cabbage using toothpicks;
  • the onion is peeled and cut lengthwise;
  • on each half, draw a pupil with a black marker;
  • secure one half of a cherry on a head of cabbage with toothpicks as a bunny’s nose, and two halves of an onion as eyes;
  • remove two large cabbage leaves from another head of cabbage;
  • ears are cut out of them;
  • secure them with toothpicks on the head of cabbage, having previously made cuts in the right places and inserted the cuttings there;
  • oval paws are cut out of two pieces of black bread (preferably stale);
  • attach them to the head of cabbage with toothpicks;
  • Draw the bunny’s mouth with a red marker, and the eyebrows with a black marker.

Cabbage and pumpkin hare

If you don’t know what to do with your children in the fall at the dacha, when other adults are busy harvesting, then try making crafts from vegetables with them.

The cabbage hare will turn out even more original if you use a small pumpkin as its head. The operating procedure is as follows:

  • Using a very sharp knife, cut out the face of a bunny on a pumpkin (places for eyes, cheeks and antennae);
  • use a toothpick to connect the head and head of cabbage;
  • if you don’t have ready-made “eyes” at hand, which are sold in specialized stores, then you can make them from colored paper by gluing blue and black circles onto a white oval;
  • half a cherry tomato is secured to the face using a toothpick as a spout;
  • a long zucchini is cut lengthwise;
  • holes are made in the pumpkin in the places where the ears should be;
  • insert zucchini halves into them and secure with toothpicks;
  • several circles are cut from a carrot and secured to a head of cabbage as buttons;
  • 2 zucchini squash, halved;
  • fasten 2 halves under the head of cabbage as lower limbs, and two at the junction with the pumpkin so as to form legs;
  • tie a bow made of satin ribbon around the bunny’s neck;
  • “fingers” are cut out on the lower paws;
  • “put” a carrot into one of the legs and secure with a toothpick.

So that the “Cabbage Hare” craft can be used as a decoration for a hall in a kindergarten where a matinee is taking place, or a children’s room, a stand is made for it. To do this, fallen multi-colored leaves are fixed using a furniture stapler on a sheet of plywood or, better yet, on chipboard 2-3 cm thick so that it is not visible.

You can do it even simpler: put the craft on a tray, lay out autumn leaves on it, and put vegetables and fruits on top.

The “Cabbage Hare” craft can be installed under the New Year tree either in a single copy or together with “family members”. To do this, you will need to make several more bunnies of different sizes. In order to give them individuality, you can use an old hat, glasses without glasses, a headband and other accessories. This way you will get other figures with different “roles”.

Now you know how to make the “Hare from Cabbage with Carrots” craft, and you can please your children, as well as instill in them a love of joint creativity.

An equally cute bunny can be made from a plastic milk bottle. To make it you will need:

  • Milk bottle;
  • Round deodorant cap;
  • Paints, cardboard, glue;
  • Ribbons and tassels;
  • Scissors;
  • Eyes for crafts.

We take the prepared bottle, wash it well, dry it thoroughly and clean the label. Next, you need to glue the deodorant cap, already pre-painted with white acrylic paint, to the bottle. From a second plastic bottle or cardboard we cut out the main details of the animal: nose, antennae, ears. We glue them to the bottle, then we also make eyes. That's it, the hare is ready, you can tie ribbons on the neck of the bottle.

Here is another method for making a bright hare with your own hands from plastic bottles. So, you will need:

  • Sand;
  • Plastic bottles (2 pcs.);
  • Acrylic paints and acrylic primer;
  • Scissors and brush.

Again, the bottles need to be washed and the labels thoroughly removed. We fill one blank with sand, but cut out bangs and ears from the second bottle. Leave the top of the plastic bottle with the cork untouched.

Now you need to cover all parts of the garden hare with acrylic primer, this will reduce paint consumption. After the soil has dried, draw a shirt, a butterfly and a bunny's face on the main bottle. It is best to paint the part with the ears with silver paint, and the stopper with gold. Using scissors, we make an original fringe in the place where the bangs will be. After the paint has dried, carefully align all the parts. That's it, the hare is ready!
